About Dee Street

We are very fortunate to have a very low staff turnover at Dee Street. Most of the nurses have been with the practice for over twelve years and the receptionists have been here six years or longer. This means that we work well together as a team and have gained a lot of practice-wide understanding of the history of our patients over a long period of time.

We are a member of the Western Bay of Plenty Primary Health Organisation (WBOPPHO) which is a body set up between primary medical providers in Tauranga Moana (mostly GP's) and local Iwi. This body allows us to access government subsidies on your behalf.

Dee Street is close to an industrial area, the Port of Tauranga and a large residential area. The practice is adjacent to the RSA and there are pensioner flats upstairs in the building.

In recent years, we have experienced a significant growth in population due to infill housing and the development of new subdivisions. Many of the traditional holiday baches are replaced by permanent homes now. Nevertheless, we still see a significant number of casual patients as the Mount is a popular holiday destination.

Although we are a busy practice, new patients and families moving to the area are still very welcome to come in and register with us. We are proud of the efficient way we work and of the importance we have put on prompt, clear and friendly communication with all patients and visitors.
